The Elvis Notes... In 1968 i did a Christmas special for tv called Elvis for NBC but it is known as the 68 special or 68 comeback. I did some musical numbers and there was a part of the show where we talked about my career, reminisced about my early days, talked about music, and performed some songs. They asked me to talk so i said, i`d said i like to talk a little about music...very little! i was reunited with two of my original fifties band members, guitarist Scotty Moore and drummer dj fontana. The special aired and received rave reviews from the public and critics. It was one of the biggest television hits of the year. At the end of the show, i sang a song that was specially written for the show. Called if i can dream when i went into record it. I asked for the lights to be dimmed in the studio and in the control room. I sang the song in almost foetal position on the floor. more soon Ep
