The Empty Hands Music event began an eventful 2 week pilgrimage in the UK, with a visit to Richard House Childrens Hospice in Beckton, East London. Rachel and Shaheena, two of the many staff who have created a loving space and home for many children, together with sisters Reva and Manisha, put together a fun filled afternoon of activities and music for the children and their families. So much joy on the faces of the children as they created a beat with hand made pulse filled water bottles, and sang along to the lyrics of the songs. What an uplifting afternoon as children and siblings shared from their heart what they were grateful for. From having a bed to sleep in to having this planet we live on it was so heartwarming to hear these cute munchkins dig deep to think about what they were thankful for. One mums sentiments were echoed by many others as she shared her gratitude for having an environment like Richard House to help her get through the dark days. A big thank you to all the staff and invisible donors that support and make it possible for Richard House to serve the local community. -Ani Devlia
