The End Of An Era At Sine FM Tomorrow sees Simon Saynor present - TopicsExpress

The End Of An Era At Sine FM Tomorrow sees Simon Saynor present the very last Sine FMs Bigger All Important Breakfast Show and this is not merely a sad day for Doncasters music scene, but quite frankly a massive blow for it. I have only known Simon for two of the four years he has been broadcasting, and though many will point at his two World Records, wonderful on air persona or his mild obsession with both Bruce Springsteen and The Waterboys, it is his service to Doncasters new music scene that will be most missed in this presenters humble opinion. I constantly mock Simon for playing the same songs occasionally, but jokes aside, he does this for a good reason, to firmly lodge the sound of local bands in the listeners ear. What Simon has done to plug, play and encourage the regions new musical talents is incomparable. Every show, every weekday morning has been littered with songs written and performed by countless solo artists and bands who have been given a platform to spread their talents to an audience they would never have had otherwise. His support for local new music doesnt stop with his fantastic breakfast show either, constant social network plugs of new songs, gigs and general banter has kept these artists in the public eye. I wont go on too long, I think Ive made my point and I have to save my Kleenex for tomorrow morning, but Ill end by saying, on behalf of the regions new music scene, Simon, thank you for everything, we will miss you.
