The English Statement of the Light of Civilization Association. We, as the Light of the Civilization Association for Guides and Archaeologists, would like to express our sorrow for the recent events that insulted our great civilization as a result of the violent and barbarian declarations and statements concerning the Egyptian Antiquities. We were following those declarations that lead to the destructive actions against our heritage. Such as:The pharaonic civilization is atheist. The pharaonic statues have to be destroyed. Those statues should to be covered by wax. If you find an antique buried under your house, it is yours. You have the right either to sell or destroy it. The pyramids and the sphinx should be bombed. Such declarations were not taken seriously by the M.B. government. In spite of the fact that the M.B. tried to show them as being loyal people, it was clear how much they hate Egypt, its civilization, culture and heritage. As the one who ignores the deep meaning of those words, does not know the value of Egypt. Hereafter some actions that describe the M.B. behavior towards the Egyptian Antiquities, such as: - The Egyptian Antiquities Rental Project. This is considered as the worst project presented by the M.B. and their representatives in the governments.A thanks for the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities the project was refused. - The lack of an element concerning the Egyptian Antiquities protection in the Egyptian constitution of 2012. - The land of Dahsur that was offered for sale to the public. - Covering the face of Om Kolthoum statue by a veil as well as the destruction of the statue of Taha Hussein. - Malawy Museum robbery besides the attacks on the museums of Bahnasa and Romelle. - The archaeological site of Oun University that used to be the oldest ancient Egyptian University was turned into a pet animals market. - The ancient Egyptian capital of Akhenaton in Tell Al-Amarna that was turned into stables. - The robbery of the cultural houses of Sohag and Menia. - An election campaign tent that was erected in the yard of Omar Toson Palace in Shoubra district by the M.B. The archaeologists described the destruction of the Egyptian Antiquities to be a part of a plot. As was declared by Dr. Mokhtar Al-Kasabany and asserted by Dr. Mohamed Al-Kahlawy, the M.B. had a plot for the destruction the Egyptian antiquities and heritage. The Light of Civilization Association argues the international community to try to understand the fears of the Egyptian people who used to be proud of their glorious civilization. Thus our Association invites all the representatives of the international communities to visit Egypt. The Association is ready to organize tours in different languages for those representatives. Finally we would say as was said by the Laurence ship Ahmed Shawky: I am the proud of the history of Egypt Thee who had defended his nation’s glory Hath saved and protected his nation’s virtue.
