The Executive Governor Gombe State, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, OON(Tolban Gombe and Durbin Tangale) was today, November 23rd, 2013, hosted by Hon. Iliya Bello Samya, Executive Chairman Billiri Local Government and the PDP family, Billiri Local Government. The visit of His Excellency to the Local Government was essentially a homecoming and an informal forum to interact with the people of the community that holds great significance to his life as an individual. During the interaction, Baba Sabulu, a PDP stalwart, who spoke on behalf of the people, extolled the good virtues of His Excellency and praised the incomparable development strides of the Executive Governors dynamic, proactive and people friendly administration. He was particularly grateful to His Excellency for his magnanimity towards the Local Government in the area of award of contracts. He rounded up his speech by assuring the Executive Governor that the entire membership of the PDP in the local government are solidly behind him. He equally disassociated the PDP in Billiri Local Government from the inglorious breakaway faction of PDP known as nPDP. In his own part, the PDP Chairman, Billiri Local Government appreciated His Excellencys exemplary leadership qualities which he said was the reason why the governor is succeeding. He also assured the Executive Governor of the unflinching support of the people of the local government in general and PDP in particular, emphasizing that His Excellency is the only authentic leader of PDP in the state and to him alone will all members of PDP in the state pledge allegiance. Speaking on behalf of the Executive Governor, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Alhaji Ahmed Yayari was appreciative of the peoples support to the administration of His Excellency. He said the peoples overwhelming support and love for His Excellency demonstrates that the Executive Governor is indeed a true son of the soil. Speaking further he said the Dankwambo led administration will do all within its power to ensure that more projects that have direct bearing on the life of the people are executed across the length and breadth of the local government. He enjoined the people to be patient and continue to support the administration of Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo. Below are photographs from the event.
