The FCC is taking public comments right now on whether to support net neutrality, or to support the cable companies who want it destroyed. Heres what I wrote... NET NEUTRALITY NEEDS TO BE UPHELD! The internet should NOT be divided into a fast lane for cable companies, and a slower lane for everyone not fortunate enough to have billions of dollars sitting in the bank and lobbyists sitting in Washington. The rate at which information is transferred should be equal for everyone. A level playing field in electronic communication is absolutely essential for innovation. Big ideas dont necessarily come from big corporations. They can arrive from anywhere. Limiting the internet in such a way that all but insures only large corporations can be heard is arrogant, foolish, and misguided. Groundbreaking ideas, ideas that can change the world, are thought up by ordinary people all the time, and those ideas are more readily accessible thanks to an open and free internet. It could be anyone, anyone of us here who finds an original solution to a challenging problem, or a fresh way of doing business, or has a bold artistic vision which challenges the way we see things. Dont take that away from people. Do not take the side of cable companies who want to do away with net neutrality. You can share your thoughts on Net Neutrality at: fcc.gov/comments
