The Ferguson decision is in and the feelings are real. By all - TopicsExpress

The Ferguson decision is in and the feelings are real. By all accounts Michael Brown had a lapse in judgement. At the same time it feels wrong that he should have lost his life for it. Also police officer has a tremendous responsibility to protect and serve and has the power of life and death in his hand. As we pray, we encourage you to get your feelings out and as the Lord leads use the comments in our posts to do that. We cant re-litigate the decision of the grand jury, but we can trust that God is in control. His hand was on the selection of the members of the grand jury and He knew the decision before we did. What we can do is weep with the Brown family for their loss and with officer Wilson and his family. Although he lives, his life will never be the same. We can also be sympathetic and listen to those on both sides of this issue in order to build understanding. Prov 4:7. Then lets pray and constructively work so that we can make productive progress in healing the wounds that this issue has caused and reopened. And protest for justice if you will. I pray we do it in a peaceful manner and dont let more violence come as a result. And let our God of peace bring peace and healing to a troubled time. There is much more to say than this, but let us start here. You can watch a discussion I had with Pastor Bobby Scott on Ferguson and let the word guide our way forward.
