The Ferrari 250 series saw a huge variety of bodyshapes, and pretty much all of them are adored (Id even say the Breadvan has a kind of lunatic charm). But theres something about the 250 GTL that, as far as the roadcars go, makes it truly special. This particular car is no garage queen – while its been painstakingly looked after throughout the vendors stewardship, its also been used on rallies across America. Just like these car should be. According to RM Auctions: The engine underwent a major rebuild about 3,000 miles ago, and it is now nicely broken-in. While the clutch and other normal wear items were replaced as required over the years, the transmission and differential have never been rebuilt, because they never required it. Its up for sale with RM Auctions at its Monterey sale in August. And if we had it, wed definitely still use it. You could definitely get a weeks shopping in the back of it...
