The First Snow With today’s wintry cloud-cover, Expectations of seeing snowflakes is here. I await this yearly event. It makes me thoroughly happy. It is weather at its best. When crystals float out of the clouds, My neural endings pulse with wild abandon. I have to run outside and walk in the snow. Each flake decorates the landscape. Each storm transforms the picture. Snow buffers a great deal of sound. Most creatures take refuge when a snowfall starts. I, myself, like to meander in the Woods. With a hush, each flake wafts softly. I’m mesmerized with respect.
