The First20 Network, a coalition working towards creating sustainable schoolyards across the LAUSD, is putting together a workshop/panel discussion in August on expanding community access to school sites on weekends and in summer. The idea is to have folks with expertise on Community School Parks weigh in on the most vexing obstacles to giving communities greater access to this great source of open space in our neighborhoods: our schoolyards. Looking to identify the questions you would like to see put to a panel of experts/practitioners on community access. Please share your questions. More info on meeting to follow in August.
