Winning the talent show at Chicagos Regal Theater late 1965, the group signed with Curtis Mayfields Windy City Records. By the time The Five Stairsteps recorded The Touch of You in August 1967, they had created a musical presence. Baby Make Me Feel So Good was written by Curtis Mayfield and was the first time The five Stairsteps had a recording on the pop charts in February 1969.
