The Future and NRA, with this, our GOAL at the STARGATE AIRPORT is ALWAYS SAFETY, and well, we will see how this can work, with a STATE OF THE ART RANGE, and the BIG MONEY With the NRA, putting their MOUTH WHERE THE MONEY IS. WE CHALLEGE Them into this once the AIRPORT is under way,, FOR THE Olympics, and remember this is just a thought of idea for now, and perhaps we can do a better job, with GUNS in this NATION. A LASER of an idea.. ( under Edit) ~English Style Horse riding/Shooting ( Biathlon.) Now, cross county/Shooting is BIG stuff.. My idea, is with a Horse, that well can run, and then the 5 targets, around a track, say,, 40 km???. and talk to a couple of Vets and/or racetrack people to see how a horse would do or go before they collapse. Now the thing is,, Very important.. because of the costs of the bullets, and the natural Resources of those bullets for the Future.. we have to think of a Laser GUN,, because of the Spook thing, AND the Gold would go to Lowest overall score.. or Highest whatever.. 1-Excellent Marksmanship- miss a shot, points added. Stand up on the stirrups?? 2-Keeping the horse and that person as calm as possible 3-Excellent Horsemanship,, this would be,, having say, 5 shooting places along the route, and having the rider do the English Style ridding,, If they break a gait,, then they would have points added on to their final score.. Now, they would have to ride say, 15-20 seconds from each other on the start gate so they dont run into horses along the way.. ITs based on points, TIME, AND how they handle the horse. Now, the Gear,, if its a laser gun,, would it be better to hold on their shoulders, or put it in a Gun holder on the saddle.. As they go around, in-between the Shooting places,, would it be better to keep the same gait,, ie: Trot, or gallop,, or Trot, Gallop, Walk, Trot Gallop, and then Run like hell to the finish line.. lol This would be a VERY Expensive sport,, Traveling with the Horses (we already know that Polo, and Horse Jumping they bring in the Horses from around the WORLD. Clothing, Gear, GUN, Training areas, etc Look into it,, and then I will present it to the WORLD Olympic Organization Committee for Expedition. Stupid Idea hu?? Veterinary Inspections All horses at the Olympics must undergo a veterinary inspection before the Games to ensure they are in good health and not carrying any disease. Veterinary inspections may also occur throughout the Games. In a pursuit, biathletes starts are separated by their time differences from a previous race,[3] most commonly a sprint. The contestant crossing the finish line first is the winner. The distance is 12.5 kilometres (7.8 mi) for men and 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) for women, skied over five laps; there are four shooting bouts (two prone, two standing, in that order), and each miss means a penalty loop of 150 metres (490 ft). To prevent awkward and/or dangerous crowding of the skiing loops, and overcapacity at the shooting range, World Cup Pursuits are held with only the 60 top ranking biathletes after the preceding race. The biathletes shoot on a first-come, first-served basis at the lane corresponding to the position they arrived for all shooting bouts Cutting the edge for the Program above. Later in the program, residents are given the opportunity to participate in riding therapy. A professional therapist and a horse professional are integrally involved in this therapy. This type of therapy involves much more than riding a horse, in fact the focus of this therapy is not riding or horsemanship. In addition to learning about the horses biology and how to care for the horse, the adolescent also learns to train the horse, and learns when to let the horse lead and when to take the lead. Riders are required to master many tasks before they ride a horse. These tasks include approaching a horse safely, speaking to the horse in an arena with an instructor, grooming the horse, watering and feeding the horse, putting on its saddle, cleaning the barn, taking care of all of the equipment (including the tack). These tasks build abilities in sequencing, (understanding antecedents, behaviors and consequences), behavioral and emotional control, (the more the resident exercises good cognitive control, the better his/her horse responds) communication, assertiveness, problem solving and long term memory enhancement. Residents will focus on tasks for the first half of the program. Only residents who have mastered the tasks involved in caring for the animals will be allowed to ride a horse during the second half of the program. The riding portion of the program will occur a few days a week For starters Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) is not horsemanship. The focus is not on riding, but on psychology. A licensed clinical professional is needed in order to consider the activities EAP. EAP uses horses experientially for emotional growth and learning. It is an effort made by the therapist and horse riding professionals to work with clients in treatment disorders. EAP can be compared in nature to ropes courses taught by some therapists because the students learn feelings, behaviors, teamwork, and patterns when participating in EAP. EAP has the added bonus of using living animals that are both beautiful and powerful which leads to an emotional connection between the horse and individuals involved in therapy with it. EAP often develops the following characteristics within teens Leadership development Team-building Communication Problem solving Organizational change Decision making EAL is similar to EAP, in that is involves using horses. EAL and EAP are often interchanged, but EAL deals more with the horsemanship aspect of Equine therapy. EAL is the process, while EAP is the actual program. EAL and EAP are often used for teens who are experiencing the following: Personal issues Focus problems and Attention Deficit Disorder Social anxiety or shyness Anxiety Trauma Anger and acting out Grief and loss Poor self-esteem Substance abuse recovery Communication Interpersonal relationships Stress Burnout Horses cannot speak like humans, and careful attention must be placed on their body language. They will let you know if they are nervous, relaxed, frustrated, exited, or dangerous by their body language. Learning how to recognize this language is key in learning how to train and become one with a horse. Horses have been used for therapy for many centuries. Many disabled people both physically and mentally have used horses to overcome their obstacles. More recently the horses are being used for troubled teens.
