The GFTU has launched its relief and rehabilitation operation to help the flood affectees in Punjab and Azad Kashmir (Pakistan), and set up a special fund for relief & rehabilitation of Flood affected people. This was announced in a meeting of GFTU executive Council with Choudhry Shahid Akhter in the chair. The meeting announced that the GFTU had set up relief camps throughout the Punjab region and Azad Kashmir asking people and friendly organisations all over the world to deposit their donations in cash and kind for the needy. Also hr appealed to friendly organisations all over the world that this time our nation is passing through a very painful period.
