The GOP-controlled House on Thursday approved Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget for 2015. The plan would cut over $5 trillion in spending, repeal Obamacare and make dramatic changes to Medicare and Medicaid. Democrats have attacked the measure, arguing it favors the rich and hurts the middle class. While Ryan’s proposal for federal spending will never make it through the Democratic-led Senate, it will be a key campaign issue for both parties in the midterm elections.
