The “GOT BAC” Fall Membership and Donation Campaign is going on through September! Many events this month... including the #FREE Tuneville fiddle session on the patio Friday evenings. Today we are very excited to highlight... The Bruka Theatre Of The Sierra, Inc presents GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES, September 26, 27, 7pm and Saturday Matinee Sept. 27, 2pm, in the Brewery Arts Center’s Performance Hall. Navigating Friendship, Love & The Squishy Parts That Lie In Between, written by Rajiv Joseph, directed by Rod Hearn, a darkly comic play about the 30-year relationship between Kayleen and Doug, who never quite get it together in any normal, traditional sense. When they yearn to touch each other, its platonic, often pressing a fresh, gaping wound or empty eye socket. Physical suffering, for these two damaged souls, is much more intimate. Starring Stacy Johnson and Wesley Gaines McNair. Advance individual tickets through breweryarts.org are $20 for general, $18 for students, seniors and military and all tickets are $25 at the door. In its 22nd season in downtown Reno, Brüka has been named, “Best Theatre Company” by The News and Review, seventeen years running. Look for the Brüka series of plays in Carson City at the BAC into next year. See bruka.org
