The Gate.....by Mike Upright Suddenly the pain is gone that Ive suffered for so long, Now I stand at an open door;As I take one step inside I begin to realize, What my souls been searching for. Mortal words cannot describe, What appears before my eyes; And Im just inside the gate. Just inside the gate where loved ones wait,Gods light shinning from the throne, Fills heaven with a song. I cant believe the change in me, Ive never felt so free; And Im just inside the gate. Now at last my mind is clear, Worldly thoughts have disappeared; Now every thought is just of Him. No more worries, doubt or fears, These new eyes cant shed a tear; Peace and joy now dwells within. Ive never felt so young and strong,This place just feels like home; Oh, and Im just inside the gate.
