The Golden Woody tournament (all wood bat tournament) that we are going to be in this weekend is known to be “the most fun you will ever have at a baseball tournament.” There will be things like: “DO OVERS” where each team is allowed 1 defensive do over and 1 offensive do over PER Game. When a team uses a do over, everything goes back to what it was before that play occurred. “BACKWARDS INNINGS” where players must run the opposite direction, in the 2nd and 4th innings. So from 3rd to 2nd, 2nd to 1st and 1st to home. “3 POINTERS” where the last batter in the line-up is worth three runs if he scores. This player must wear a PINK TANK TOP while BATTING and ON BASE. If the 3 Pointer WALKS, he Automatically gets THIRD BASE. This is to discourage teams from walking the 3 pointer. This is going to be a VERY fun one for the boys (and family). First game starts at 8:00AM against the Bay Area Giants. (Players need to be there at 7AM.) Second game starts at 9:30AM against All Out Sports.
