The Good Men Campaign is a national campaign using media communication in an effort to prevent underlying root causes of violence against women. The 5-year campaign was launched in 2011 lead by the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and coordinated by Paz y Desarrollo (PYD) with funding support from AECID, UNFPA, P4P and GIZ. The campaign uses radio, TV, social media and outreach activities using spots, performance, drama, visual and attractive materials and prints to educate, entertain and encourage men aged 15-49 years old to be role models in preventing domestic violence. In over 4 years, the Good Men Campaign reached approximately 3 million people, with more than half being men.
