The Google Online Marketing Challenge (GOMC) is a global competition in which students form a team and partner with a professor to create an AdWords advertising campaign for a business or a non-profit organization of their choice. GOMC helps professors create an engaging and innovative in-class experience and students build skills and knowledge needed for a career in digital marketing. In addition to a $250 AdWords budget, Google provides participants with free access to Digital Marketing and general support related to the Challenge. For more information about the Challenge itself, check out the video. TO DO Submit referrals here at this link https://docs.google/forms/d/1Qqf2Y8Dphxa927ygkf-9t4HO1StjEN5h4I_52Xp0u10/viewform Google team will reach out to them in the next month with information on how to get involved in the next round of competition. WHY? Each year we get a strong representation from Americas and EMEA but we see a relatively small number of teams participating from APAC countries. There is a lot of talent in APAC, as last year’s Global Winners from the Philippines demonstrated, and we don’t want any groups to be excluded due to insufficient information or advertising in their networks. The GOMC is an all around win-win situation. Students get hands-on experience in a field with rapidly growing career opportunities, professors get interactive and engaging plug-and-play course material for their class, and businesses get free advertising with marketing support.
