The Gospel that is being preached today is so devoid of divine potentcy, that people hear it and take it with a pinch of salt. They go to church just to add to the formality show with little or no change at all in our way of life. We cheat, lie, steal, fornicate, defraud, and do a whole lot of other abominable things because spirituality is only for the church house. Outside of it is the real world where we live the real life. We will give to God on Sunday, and the rest of the six days is for ceasar. God, please help us see the harm we are putting ourselves in by this lifestyle of double-standards. help us to wrench ourselves free from those sins that so easily beset us and keep us from giving ourselves wholly to you. help us to cloak ourselves with nothing save your own righteousness; despising the shame, shunning all appearances of evil and holding on to that which is good. we do the many awful things that we do because we no longed find delight in your Word. our stony hearts have no desire of inclination to the words of your mouth, to keep and to do them like David did. let not this weakness of the flesh have dominion over our spirits. flood our souls with the light of your Word so we wont walk in darkness.
