The Government Was Living In Denial On Kidnappings, Says Activist Joe Odumakin In an emotional, and wide-ranging interview with SaharaReporters correspondent, Rudolf Okonkwo, Dr. Joe Okei Odumakin said that she is troubled with the kidnapping of over 200 female students, and other recent events in Nigeria, while attending the National Convention in Abuja. Okei Odumakin, who wore a bright yellow colored blouse during the interview, was clear, yet emotional in reviewing her own role at the national convention. Yet the kidnapping of over 200 school students in northeastern Nigeria by the Boko Haram group was not far from her mind. “Having a seat at the national conference id the most difficult thing for me, be cause I am (not used to) sitting (down) for a long time.
