Mahmud Ghaznavi is the defreezer of productive wealth hoarded in Hindu temples. Temple destruction and desecration of idols is explained away. He is said to be a lover of Hindu architecture!! They assert that Muhammad Ghuri is the harbinger of an urban revolution!! Muinuddin Chishti, in their writing, is the great Indian saint. Amir Khusrau is the pioneer of communal amity!! Alauddin Khilji, in their pamphlets, becomes the first socialist in the annals of this country!! Akbar becomes the father of Indian nationalism. The myth of Aurangzeb becoming the benefactor of Hindu temples is parroted!! Siraj-ud-daula, Mir Qasim, Hyder Ali, Tipu Sultan and Bahadur Shah Zafar are the heroes of Indias freedom struggle against British imperialism!! The atrocities committed by the Moplahs are not mentioned as the Hindus were on the receiving end. The Wahabis and the Moplahs have become peasant revolutionaries and foremost freedom fighters!!
