The Great Southwest Car Trip - Day 4 When we woke this morning, the temperature was 30 degrees with light snow still on the ground from last night. High for the day forecast at 59. After breakfast, we explored several scenic overlooks in Bryce Natl Park by car - Sunset Point and Bryce Point. At 12:40pm, we reported to the Bryce Canyon Trail Ride coral for our 3 1/2 hour trail ride to the canyon floor. Aurora was on Lucky Strike and I was on Sandman. Our guide and wrangler was Joe, just Joe, a true American cowboy and real neat guy. The ride was amazing on so many levels. The horses are gentle and know the routine backwards and forwards. The trail is steep and rugged and the views truly breathtaking. Were both sore and walking a bit stiffly but otherwise none the worse for wear. We were pleased that the booth we set in for dinner tonight had nicely padded seats. :) Tomorrow its off to the Grand Canyon.
