The Great Vigil of Easter will be celebrated in its fullness at 7pm at St. John. Blessing of the new Paschal Candle, readings of the salvation, renewal of baptismal promises, redressing of the altar, and a solemn and joyful liturgy of the Eucharist. The 16-voice Chamber Choir returns to sing Messiaen, plainchant, and more, and the organ will also be resurrected. Liturgy will conclude with an improvisation on Gregorian themes. No tickets required.
