The Great debate has begun! Bankole Thompson raises the question that all of SE Michigan is talking about. If you take a look at yesterdays @Detnews comment section and compare that to the grassroots community concerns, you would swear one group lives on Venus and the other on Mars. This speaks to where we are in Michigan with race relations. With crumbling infrastructure, cost, affordability issues, we have to ask is this deal the best deal for all stakeholders? I dont have the answer to that question just yet. Im looking forward to learning more of the fine details, and hearing from the DWSD workers, However, I remain optimistic as it relates to collective bargaining rights being protected, the funding allocation for those that need additional resources, and the majority seats that will be appointed by Mayor Duggan and the Wayne County Executive. #StayTuned
