The Greater Los Angeles Writers Conference will presents a very special panel of Screenwriters and TV writers on June 29th who will share writing exercises and discuss Building Surprises and Scares into your screen story. Panelists include: Christine Conradt has written more than forty indie films and made-for-TV movies in the horror, thriller, and crime drama genre. Her films have aired on networks like FOX, Lifetime, Lifetime Movie Network, and USA. She is the writer of SUMMER’S MOON, CHRISTIE’S REVENGE, MATERNAL OBSESSION, and HOTEL CALIFORNIA. She holds a BFA in film from USC and a master’s degree in criminal justice from Boston University. She also contributed an exercise to Now Write! Screenwriting. Sara B. Cooper is an acupuncturist who turned TV writer when a client gave her spec script to the series producers of Star Trek: The Next Generation. In addition to creating the Cardassian race for the series, Cooper has written for shows such as The X-Files, Chicago Hope, Homicide, House, and Sanctuary. Pen Densham is a writer, producer, director known for writing and producing films such as THE DANGEROUS LIVES OF ALTAR BOYS, BACKDRAFT, ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES, and television revivals of The Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone, as well as writing, producing, and directing MGM’s MOLL FLANDERS. He has won and been nominated for multiple awards, including two Oscar nominations for his short films. Scott Rubenstein has written thirty produced episodes for television including Star Trek: The New Generation, Cagney & Lacey, Hunter, MacGyver, Night Court, Nine to Five, and Diff’rent Strokes. Aside from also being a story editor on three shows, he executive produced the award-winning documentary NOT AFRAID TO LAUGH and Peacock Blues for Showtime. He taught for ten years as an adjunct professor at California State University, Northridge and USC. Christopher S. Pratt has experience in feature film development & production, live show production & marketing live shows, direct marketing, and advertising.
