The Greatest Friend In the Pursuit of happiness We seek for whom to lean on In our days of recklessness We seek for whom to rely on As shambled and rough as it may be Our eyes wide seeking for hope We run to aids we can see Even more than the problems to cope He stands near afar off with hands outstretched Knocking the door of hearts for a new reign We ask questions more than our hearts can fetch Asking for the day of everlasting rain His words and care are incomparable His love and mercy are of great magnitude He is always available, able and never disabled Not minding our gross acts and attitude He came to the world to repair the scene Taking on our guilt and pain He came to carry all our sin To guarantee us an eternal gain He stands in the valley of the shadow of death With bruise and scars all over His body He came to give us the new and second birth And to grant us eternal rest in His custody His words are calm, soft and gentle Piercing through any hold of sorrow His name and grace are powerful Ensuring us a vision for a better morrow What song or praise can I sing? To honour this Wonderful friend What gift or present can I bring? To Glorify My Greatest Friend! There have been lords and gods that has come and gone. There have been Mighty men, warriors, Kings, Champions who have created one thing or the other but none of these lords and gods has ever called their creations Friend. But we have a Mighty Father, the Lord of lords, the King of kings, the bravest man of battle who has called man friend. He knows your pain, sorrow and He is always with us anytime we fall. He is the best Friend any man can ever have. He is the Prince of Peace, He is the Everlasting Father; He is the Counsellor. His name is JESUS! If you have not accepted Him into your life, then you have not known anything called Friendship. If you have not taken Him into your life then you have neither met with Life, the Way nor the Truth. If you need this Great Friend called JESUS, go before Him, confess your sins before Him, repent from those sins and forsake them all.
