The Guardian Monday 28 April Its advantage Chelsea if there was anyone who would dent Liverpools title aspirations then everyone knows who that would be. Liverpool started like a house on fire in an exciting premier league match played at Anfield yesterday when they launched attack after attack, but their selfish duo of Sturridge and Suarez could not break the locken key of Chelseas Garry Cahill, John Terry , Ivanovic and the impressive Azpiliqueta. With Chelsea seemingly heading for a huge defence they managed to hold and go for the break with the teams tied at nill all and Mourinho seemed had the bigger job to do at Half time than Rodgers. Soon after the break captain John Terry openned the scoresheet for the Blues,,, showing the strikers how it should be done. Terry connected from a Frank Lampard corner kick to give Mignolet no chance at all and one nill Chelsea lead. From there it was Liverpool all over as they searched for an equaliser and possibly a late winner but Chelsea who are well known for their impressive defence and arguable the best under the sun was able to deal with threats from Coutinho , Suarez , Sterling and Sturridge. Against the run of play, Hazard broke lose on the left side and left Glen Johnson for death, he sent in a cross which met Oscar who had a thunderous shot against the woodwork with Torres making no mistake from the rebound to score against his former paymasters. Petr Cech kept the 18th clean sheet of the season and Suarez went for another match without a goal. Chelsea boss jose Mourinho yet again denied the fact that he is gunning for the title and still said its advantage city who have a game in hand.
