The Gunnison Valley Rural Transportation Authority is asking for help as follows: Gunnison County is partnering with the RTA and is applying for a Federal Grant to attempt to secure new flights to/from Texas starting in the summer of 2014. In order to secure the grant, we need to show substantial support for this effort. Our consultant has said that the letters of support from the public really matter and the more we can get, the better our chances to be awarded the grant. Ideally, we will be able to submit hundreds of letters of support with the application next week. The sample (at gunnisoncounty.org/administration_pdf/SCASD_Letter.pdf) is the script that the consultant would like us to follow… please feel free to personalize the letter a bit, but try not to stray too far from the intent. Please pass these on to other people you think might be willing to support this effort. I would like to have signed copies back to me by July 24th. I know this is a tight timeline, but the grant cycle was very short.
