The HSE needed a security guard to keep things in order in A&E - TopicsExpress

The HSE needed a security guard to keep things in order in A&E during the small hours of the night. They hired a fella on a salary of €35,000 a year. Then the officials wondered how this man would do his job without instruction, so they hired 2 people as logistics personnel, paying each one €45,000 a year. But how would these people be paid?? 2 more are hired to staff the accounts department, paying each one €60,000 a year. Now, who will be responsible for all these employees? So a management position is created and filled, at a salary of €140,000 a year. The first end of year audit shows that the operation is running €35k over budget. And the security guard is laid off. Now that is Ireland to a tee. Completely true story of course :)
