The HTPC is taking on new form. Cause Murica. Dolled up the interior a bit with some aluminum coil around all the power lines (made the mistake of thinking they would be easy to make out of some old tent stakes....took forever to get em bent into shape ....coulda picked up aluminum racing fuel line for like 15 bucks that woulda worked better) Drive on the top is the only spinning disk, gonna move it to a standing position in front of the power supply, that needs a blackening ...SSDs are standing upright in the front of the case. The front bezel is a fan cover from some case I tore apart and underneath is a massive magnifying glass that makes the interior look all huge.....I think I am gonna re-do that whole face with some parts I scavenged recently....dont like the fan cover much. The solid stainless steel base is made from parts of an old industrial microscope....the whole thing with wood PC weighs almost 70 pounds Had a hard time getting good shots but its coming along into its new form. Work in progress. Every time I sit down I think of more , new and different shit to do to it so I spent the day doing a mock up build of a test bench idea I have been playing with.
