The Hamburg Democratic Party is pleased to announce that they have endorsed Walter L. Rooth, III for Hamburg Town Supervisor. Mr. Rooth is a practicing attorney since 1995. He was an assistant District Attorney for the Erie County District Attorney’s Office for over 10 years. During that time, he was the Gang Prosecutor for Erie County, Chief of the DWI Bureau, and tried numerous felony jury trials. In 2006, he established his own law practice in Hamburg handling real estate, criminal law, estates, as well as other general practice matters. Mr. Rooth is also an active volunteer in Hamburg. He is a coach with the Hamburg Little Cagers Basketball Program, and the Hamburg Junior Baseball League. He is a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels, and is a member of St. Bernadette’s Church. He has served as a board member for the Hamburg Counseling Center and is currently on the Board of Directors for Beechwood/Blocher Foundation. He is a former member of the Hamburg Fire Department as an Emergency Medical Technician. He is a lifelong resident of Hamburg, and has been married for nine years with two wonderful daughters. As a small business owner and as a resident, he has read with dismay the manner in which the Republican-led Hamburg Town Board has conducted itself over the past several years. He believes that the voters in Hamburg have the same reaction and deserve a return of professionalism, civility and fiscal responsibility in our public officials.
