The Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) and NHS England have launched a series of videos to promote the benefits of the Child Protection - Information Sharing project (CP-IS). The CP-IS will help the NHS give a higher level of protection to children who present in unscheduled care settings by enabling local authorities to share child protection information with the NHS for the first time, at a national level. Using animations and interviews with NHS staff, social workers and the staff of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), the videos demonstrate the very real difference effective information sharing makes in the lives of children at the risk of cruelty. ow.ly/AOlBr
