The Henry County Clerks Office diligently works to prepare for the countys elections for MONTHS! We have guide lines & laws we must STRICTLY abide by. As a Citizen of Henry County, It is your right and a priviledge to have the honor to vote. However, It is the voters responsibility to make sure that they are registered BEFORE election day. If a person moved last year, but did not bother to change an address on their drivers license, voters registration card or at the post office...etc... how does one expect us to get any information updated??? Majority of our citizens did take the time to check that all their information was correct & called us to verify where they needed to go vote. You can access your personal information on line at elect.ky.gov (State Board of Election Website.) If a voter happened to end up at the wrong polling place, Many of the precinct election officers called the clerks office for verification on where where they needed to dirrect the individual to go vote successfully. The office was open Tuesday, November 4th, 2014 from 4:45 AM to 11:00 PM on Election Day. There was someone aswering the phone at ALL times! If there was an issue, we needed to know about it immediately so it may be fixed at that time. It is not a help to anyone if a problem simmers to a boil.There were a couple of issues that did come up and they were promptly remedied! No one is perfect, but we do strive to have a problem free election each and every time. The Henry County Clerks Office would appreciate any resident of Henry County, over the age of 18, who would be willing to be trained as an election officer. We are always looking for new & dedicated people willing to serve their community! There were some regular workers that could not work due to having relatives on the ballot, some with an unfortunate sad death in the family, illness, and some who had to work at their real job and not be with us. I want to personally thank those who stuck it out and tried their very best! You are appreciated!!!! We are always are looking for good, dependable precinct workers! WE NEED YOU!
