The Hey Lord video was shot on the deserted Albert Docks in August - TopicsExpress

The Hey Lord video was shot on the deserted Albert Docks in August 1989. The site had just been used by the film Full Metal Jacket (later Oasis used it). The director was Leo Sanchez who was working across The Missions Carved in sand at the time. I based the video on the bridge scene of Apocalypse Now & was given a £35K budget from Island. The single shifted around 40K in the end which seemed ok at the time. The lyrics I wrote at my grandfathers funeral in Feb 88 in Paris & the song came about from the keyboard intro that Rick was working on, he & I fleshed out the track very quickly then the band worked around our demo which is how most of the album was written.
