The High Priest of Vishvanatha Temple in Varanasi, the most sacred - TopicsExpress

The High Priest of Vishvanatha Temple in Varanasi, the most sacred Shiva temple in one of the most sacred cities of India because it is the knowledge capital of India, needs always to be from Nepal, while the High Priest of Pashupatinath Temple, Nepals most sacred Shiva temple in Kathmandu, needs always to be from India, that too from South India. Such ancient noble rules are found in most ancient Hindu temples of historic significance. They were made to unite one people from Nepal to Sindh and from Kashmir to Kerala. How then Indian historians tell us today that Hindu nationalism is a modern phenomenon? It is amazing how India, despite being divided politically into hundreds of small princely states for most of its history, has always been one country of one people. This was the great effort of no one else but the masters of the Vedic Sanatana Dharma, our very own forefathers whose blood runs in our veins. The destruction of Kashi Vishwanath Temple was an attempt to destroy this underlying fundamental unity in the apparent diversity of this nation.
