The Himalayas most favourite tea is Darjeeling which is known as the Champaign of Teas, but it is by no means the only tea from there. Nepal is becoming stronger and stronger in its production. Originally exports from Nepal were band due to political instability and internal demand however it is now becoming an important export and is usually of exceptional quality and grown under organic conditions. The story of tea in Nepal started in the late 19th century but the story of Jun Chybari is much later. This small Tea garden of just 75 hectares was founded by a group of friends in 2001. It took tea plants from Darjeeling, other parts of Nepal China Taiwan and even some wild tea plants from Japan making it an unusual mixture of tea which helps make this unique and delicious taste. We have supplied computers to local school and are giving scholarships to some local girls. Further for our workers we have interest free loans for good income generating schemes. This is administered by a committee of workers and management. Through these income generating loans workers have established shops and some are in the process of buying cows.We have a fair price policy wherein we offer the local farmers substantially higher prices for green leaves year-round. This is beside our free help on technical matters pertaining to all aspects of tea cultivation. Latest developments and trends in tea cultivation including but not limited to bio organic farming and biological diversity are imparted to them.
