The Hobby Lobby case being argued before the Supreme court right - TopicsExpress

The Hobby Lobby case being argued before the Supreme court right now is a slippery and dangerous slope people! This is not about religious liberty. If Hobby lobby wins this, then whats to say that some Scientologist, or Jehovahs Witness or some other religion thats against, blood transfusions, many of the cancer treatments, and other procedures and medications from objecting to such things being in their employees ins. coverage. The Constitution protects our freedom of religion and our religious liberty but does not give us the right to expect that others should have to live by our beliefs and convictions. Their beliefs and convictions often run contrary to our own and we wouldnt want their convictions applied to us... also, there are some pretty out there religions that are around as well that I damn sure dont want their beliefs affecting my life decisions. This case is about the exact opposite that it claims. It would violate religious liberty not enhance it. This is a very slippery slope people.... you dont want to open this can of worms! There are some religions that are against vacinations, shots, antibiotics and many things. Live and let live people. Live your lives as you believe you should and accept that others should do the same. We dont all have the same beliefs and everyone believes their way is the right way. Thats religious freedom...the freedom to each follow our own beliefs, not trying to force others to follow ours. Bottom line, if you dont want to use contraceptives, then dont! However, dont try to curtail others if they choose to. Dont use that lame ass argument that you should be able to pick and choose what you dont like if youre the employer and your paying for it. I guarantee they wouldnt want me being able to pick and choose whats in their policy. NO EMPLOYER should have any say in health care treatments, prescriptions or procedures that are legal! Those decisions are between my Dr. and I. 2 mins ·
