The Holy Month of Ramzan in Pakistan had quite a bit of an impact - TopicsExpress

The Holy Month of Ramzan in Pakistan had quite a bit of an impact on the local livestock prices especially veal. As the month starts, Consumers dietary patterns shift from the 3 times meal to the dawn and dusk meals with a significant increase in consumption of Mince Beef at the Dawn Meal. This lead to around a 20%-30% increase in Veal Meat and Livestock Prices. Some Exporters found it hard to generate orders due to reluctance of some buyers to absorb the extra cost and inability of the export markets in the middle east to absorb the increase. As the 2nd part of Ramzan arrives and Consumers have stocked up their Freezers with the Red Meat for the month. Prices have eased up a bit. But so has the demand in the middle east, the primary Red Meat Export market in the Middle East. Pakistan is one of the emerging major exporters of Red Meat with its major markets in the Middle East. Tata Best Foods is one of the most hygienic facilities in Pakistan.
