The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 opens with 50 minutes of TALKING. No action, talking. The whole movie is only 123 minutes long. Plus, the talk--which also infects a lot of the last two-thirds is about a political and military rebellion that makes no reference to the world we live in. Instead, we get a lot of existential angst about Peeta--who I couldnt give a crap about--and a little bit of bloodless violence (along with fighter planes being shot down with a bow and arrow--a detail thats in the trailer). Still I enjoyed it. Why, I have no idea (though I suspect Jennifer Lawrence). But, I can only award this gabfest a C-minus. https://youtube/watch?v=3PkkHsuMrho
