The Huntington-Oyster Bay Chapter of the National Audubon Society will be hosting their second annual “Walk/Run for Wildlife and Conservation” on Saturday, September 28 at Planting Fields Arboretum, with all proceeds benefiting the Chapter’s Conservation Fund. At the event Chapter will honor Senator Carl Marcellino and Brian Zimmerman of the Nassau County Soil & Water Conservation District with the chapter’s first Conservation Champion Awards. The Walk/Run for Wildlife and Conservation is for those willing to walk, run or do a combination of both, and is designed to raise money for the Chapter’s important conservation initiatives such as habitat restoration efforts, wildlife research projects, and conservation advocacy.
