The ISIS?Da3esh threat isnt over yet! Now the Assyrian - TopicsExpress

The ISIS?Da3esh threat isnt over yet! Now the Assyrian Christians who escaped from Mosul/Nineveh are relocated in the Kurdish controlled region in the Christian villages in the Plains of Nineveh, and supposedly the Kurdish Peshmarga is protecting them. Lets assume a hypothetical scenario, what if ISIS/Da3esh attacked the Kurdish controlled region, and the Kurdish Peshmarga pull out from the Christian villages and leave those unarmed Christians at the mercy of the advancing ISIS? Either unintentionally (i.e. try to genuinely defend the Christians, but cant hold against the forced of ISIS), or intentionally (i.e. a collaboration with ISIS to rid the region from its indigenous Assyrian people). Have anyone or any of the Assyrian organizations thought of that? What would the consequences of that be? 1. A mass genocide of Assyrian Christians in the region? 2. A mass conversion of Assyrian Christians to Islam? 3. A mass exodus of Assyrian Christians out of their ancestral homeland for ever? Which one will it be? The western world is not interested in the future of few Christians in their ancestral homeland, and all they are willing to offer are visas and to transport them to Europe, America, or Australia. The solution must come from within the Assyrians themselves, they have no one to rely on, they need to survive by themselves, and find the means to do it. It is very strange that the whole world is silent! and it is even stranger coming from the NATO who were the champions of the oppressed people of Kosovo few decades ago! But nevertheless the world silence is so disturbing, because it is not known if it is a silence of morally dead people, or a silence that precedes a storm (i.e. something is being cooked behind the scenes, but it is still simmering), and soon it will hail down like a thunderstorm on the heads of the aggressors! So which one is it? * Dead moral values? or * Something is cooking?
