The IV killings:Not the medias finest hour.Why? I actually heard a report about half the murdered victims,the ones who were stabbed. The reporter stated they died by knife, but that how they were killed was unknown, and that further,the killer was able to buy handguns because he wasnt in a mental health database. Handguns and the ability to purchase them are relevant to the victims who were killed by gun, not by knife. Some sources, even at the network level continue to call the entire event a shooting spree. Those with an eye and ear for accuracy, call it correctly, a killing spree. The sloppy language, deliberate or otherwise undermines credibility once again. This isnt about getting facts wrong, early in a breaking story.
