The Independent Artist Competition Series (IACS) is the first ever independent recording artist performance competition series formatted as a sports league that launches its inaugural season beginning January 2014 beginning with its preseason tournament the IACS Grand Prix (IACSGP) for the following regions; * Northeast-IACS (NYC, DE, NJ, PA, CT, RI) * DMV-IACS (DC, MD, VA, WV) * Southeast-IACS (GA, NC, SC, TN) * South-IACS (LA, MS, AL) The IACSGP is a 3-day all genre 16-artist (Group included) single elimination tournament. The IACSGP Champion receives $1,000 dollars, IACSGP Championship Trophy, and automatic qualification to compete in their regions IACS season beginning in March 2014. The IACSGP Runner-Up receives $500 dollars, IACSGP Runner-up plaqe, and automatic qualifcation to compete in their regions IACS season. Demo submissions for IACSGP are from Oct 1st-Dec 1st. The IACS is a 16-artist all genre competition league is formatted with a 4-single elimination tournament season, and 2-postseason tournaments, the IACS-Showoffs Regional Championship and IACS-Showoffs National Championship. The inaugural 2014 IACS season will be launching in the following regions; Northeast-IACS (NYC, NJ, PA, CT, RI, DE), DMV-IACS (DC, MD, VA, WV), Southeast-IACS (GA, TN, SC, NC), and South-IACS (AL, LA, MS). Artists are selected to compete for the season through demo submissions to their IACS-Region selection committee. If selected to compete, IACS-artists receive compensation and ranking points per each tournament. Ranking points and payout amount are determined on placement in each tournament during the season. IACS-Artists are required to perform original music in each round of every tournament, and will be judged by a 4-judge panel on the catagories of; Stage Presence, Talent, Song Quality, & Marketabiilty. IACS-Artists that finish the season ranked in the top 8 of their regions IACS-Ranking will qualify to compete in their Regional IACS-Showoffs (our version of the playoffs), the Regional Champion and Runner-up will advance and represent their region in the 2014 IACS-Showoffs National Championship in New Orleans, LA at the Superdome. The national champion will receive the GRAND PRIZE of $50,00 dollars, the IACS-Showoffs National Championship Platinum Mic Award, and be considered the #1 ranked independent artist in the United States in accordance to the IACS-National Ranking.
