The Independent comes with an article about a secret deal between Germany and Russia over Ukraine, thus making any secret deal no longer secret and perhaps also no longer even a deal. Indeed, the article also adds: However, these attempts by Ms Merkel to act as a broker between President Putin and the Ukraine’s President, Petro Poroshenko, were put on the back-burner following the shooting down of the MH17 plane in eastern Ukraine. Moreover, one also has to bear in mind that, in important political and geopolitical matters, Germany is not a sovereign nation. Thus whatever Germany does would have to be coordinated and directed from behind by the US. The same goes for Ukraine, and even more so. If Germany is a junior partner and ally of the US, Ukraine today is a US fascist colony. At the same time, there were numerous signs that some sort of deal was, indeed, attempted and pursued from mid-April till late June. By the same token, there are also signs that this deal is no longer on the table hence the secret can be now both published and used against Russia, while deflecting the US role by delegating the initiative to Germany and Merkel with an added notion mentioned in the article that the US and Great Britain would never recognize Crimea as part of Russia anyway whatever Russia might have been made to believe as being part of the deal: However, the spokesman said he thought it highly unlikely that either the US or UK would agree to recognising Russian control over Crimea.
