The International Association for Suicide Prevention, in collaboration with the World Health Organization and the World Federation for Mental Health is hosting World Suicide Prevention day on September 10th, 2014. This year’s theme is “Suicide Prevention: One World Connected”, and will focus on raising awareness that suicide is a major preventable cause of premature death on a global level. In recognition of Suicide Prevention Day, Tanana Chiefs Conference will be hosting two seminar’s called QPR Question, Persuade, Refer that will be open to the public. QPR is not intended to be a form of counseling or treatment, however it is intended to offer hope and positive action.
