The International bankers can throw the United States into a war - TopicsExpress

The International bankers can throw the United States into a war whenever they desire it for their own ends. We the 300+ million Americans believe that we govern ourselves on this blind illusion of democracy: actually, we are governed by a ruthless oligarchy. What good is the wealth of a nation, if the wealth is all in the hands of a few men. We are all vassals, serfs, servants, slaves who pay our tributes without a murmur. Wall Street is a hotbed of political and financial schemes and plots for the control of everything, from the food you eat to the clothes you wear. It is in Wall Street that the International bankers grind out gold and more gold for the favored few, move faithless party leaders, nominate candidates for public office and use the army and navy of the United States for their private purposes as relentlessly as does the hand of fate move the children of men.-Mayor J. F. Hylan of New York on June 24th, 1924 The danger of the Invisible Government which he said is located in Wall Street, and implied that the newspapers do not give the facts, as did also Mr. W. J. Bryan: New York is the city of privilege. Here is the seat of that invisible power represented by the allied forces of finance and industry. This invisible Government is reactionary, sinister, unscrupulous, mercenary and sordid. It is wanting in national ideals and devoid of conscience. . . This kind of Government must be scourged and destroyed.-The Secretary of the Treasury Mr. William Gibbs McAdoo on June 22, 1924 The real menace of our Republic is the Invisible Government, which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over city, state and nation. At the head of this octopus is a small group of powerful banking houses, generally referred to as the International bankers. This little coterie of powerful International bankers virtually runs our Government for their own selfish ends -Jolin F. Hylan 1922
