The Internet is probably the least-regulated part of the US - TopicsExpress

The Internet is probably the least-regulated part of the US economy, and the results are astounding. Service quality doubles every few years. The very poor today have faster Internet than Bill Gates did 15 years ago. Prices fall dramatically. Thousands of online companies cooperate: everything is compatible with everything else. The ads I run work seamlessly with my email-gathering service, and both work perfectly on my website. No government forced them to do this. New companies create wealth every day by solving problems and making life easier for everyone. You and everyone you know has probably benefited from a tool an Internet company created. Fortunes have been made, but the companies that made those fortunes did so by serving their fellow man. We--consumers--are their sole source of income. Thats capitalism in action. (JA)
