The Invasion Day / Australia Day celebrations in Melbourne was a - TopicsExpress

The Invasion Day / Australia Day celebrations in Melbourne was a true reflection of the state of the country. Time has come to recognise the state of war that has existed between the original land owners, the 400 plus tribes of the land, vs the British parliament and its apendage Australia, and the Queen. The originals have a right to be out marching today, but if you truely want a full recongnition of Australia, the originals ought to be front and center. Today is not a day for celebration for many people there is pent up rage, good on those in this crowd that did not act upon that rage. I am so sorry to see Marvelous Melbourne divided. What a stupid day Australia day is? Do we need to upset people? Australian of the year is a failure as a mother, like the last one was a weak and pathetic person. Why is the Australian of the year a victim, is it an attempt to deflect reflection of the true vicims?
