The Island Art Association has a community outreach program where services are provided to the Council On Aging, Nassau County School, 4 H, etc. The Association was approached by Barnabas to see if one of our artists would paint a Giving Tree or donor tree for the lobby of their new building. Sharon Haffey, one of IAAs artists and a Blue Door artist, agreed to paint a large four panel painting for the lobby. Heres Sharon with Delores Weaver and Wanda Lanier, Executive Director of Barnabas in front of the the giving tree. This is a great example of one local not-for-profit providing a helping hand to another charitable organization. Kudos to Sharon for contributing her talent and time!
